Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Nurse (Consultant), you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Program Support Center to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Managing the delivery of clinical services within the Division and providign leadership, direction, and training in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the full range of occupational health programs and services.
Identifying issues and integrating internal and external requirements affecting the immediate organization, such as those involving technical (clinical) and administrative changes or decisions.
Performing the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
Developing written reports and making oral presentations on findings and representing FOH management in the briefings to other Federal agencies on issues and analyses impacting the efficient and effective delivery of FOH product lines.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications: Must possess a graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. (You must submit copies of transcripts and/or certification with your application.)
Note: Employees currently assigned to the 0610 series as of September 2017 will be considered to have met this basic requirement. (Note: You must provide a copy or multiple copies of your SF-50 to validate your status.)

Licensure Requirement: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. (MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF LICENSURE)

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least 4 out of 6 of the following:
1) Recommending changes and/or updates to annual occupational health policy reviews;
2) Assisting with the development of clinical training, providing guidance pertaining to policies and standard operating procedures;
3) Providing leadership and expert technical support to assure the delivery of consistently high-quality nursing care;
4) Preparing performance evaluations, managing employee's workloads, and managing informal disputes;
5) Conducting comprehensive analysis where clinical processes, activities or functions are conducted; and/or
6) Providing advice and direction to internal and external stakeholders on health principles, procedures and professional practice guidelines.
