This QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST position, is located in the Quality Assurance function in an Army National Guard (ARNG) Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). and is part of the CA AASF Los Alamitos.
Duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION
The primary purpose of the QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-9, to establish, develop, and implement the AASF quality assurance and reliability programs. Serves as the Quality Assurance Representative for the AASF.
Qualifications
General Experience: Must possess education and experience in fields such as quality control, quality inspection, contracting and purchasing, supply and storage, industrial or production planning, research and engineering, maintenance, and test and evaluation
QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-9: Must have least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may be demonstrated by: Experience, education, or training, involving principles, techniques, and accepted practices of quality assurance work (i.e., the application of statistical sampling techniques sufficient to perform assignments or preparation of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problems); Experience in the application and theory of specialization using applicable publications; Experience in the preparation of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problem areas and to recommend corrective action.

Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's Degree in major study of one of the following: quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position that demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required.
