You will serve as a FACILITY SERVICES ASSISTANT in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will dispatch workers to emergency conditions requiring immediate response for maintenance service.
You will enter time and labor charges into a computerized labor data collection system.
You will review and verify basic data provided by customers to process work requests.
You will regularly communicate with customers on work statuses and classification of requested work.
You will support the organization to which assigned by performing various clerical assignments, as directed.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- The incumbent serving in this position may at anytime be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within their commuting area as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining schedules for maintenance and repair of physical facilities and for scheduling short- and long-range maintenance, repair, and minor construction. 2) Managing, tracking and adjusting work order data. 3) Coding, reviewing and validating labor charges, making corrections, adjustments, refunds and reimbursements. 4) Issues rework job orders and responsible for dispatching all work orders. 5) Managing the work queues of fifty to sixty employees, but assigns work, reviews and changes job status, and enters time and labor charges when answering calls from employees regardless of who is assigned the primary responsibility. 6) Reviews approved work orders to be assigned and calls mechanics as required to review their previous days' labor charges. 7) Follows up with mechanics as required to review and discuss the status of work in his or her queue. 8) Dispatches work orders equitably, to keep the workload balanced. 9) Utilizes advanced and varied functions of software suites to include computerized asset management systems, electronic mail, spreadsheets, electronic calendars, and database management. 10) Performs a variety of administrative support duties such as, but not limited to, making travel arrangements, inputting time and attendance, key control management, procurement of office supplies and materials, and tracking training completions. 11) Checks transmittals for proper clearances, prints hard copies of incoming mail or routes to other terminals as designated.
