You will serve as a Supervisory Transportation Operations Specialist in the Base Support Vehicle Equipment (BSVE) Branch, Production Division, Public Works Department Guam of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

Duties

You will supervise work that provides the full range of regional transportation management, operations and maintenance services providing administrative and technical supervision to six employees. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, prepare schedules for completion of such work and assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of the employees. You will coordinate efforts in developing a comprehensive transportation management, operations, and maintenance program. Directs and oversees the activities which implements the plan's objectives. You will meet with top management officials to communicate policies, procedures, programs, and service provided. You will serve as Contracting Office Representative (COR) for Annex 1700 of the Base Operating Support Contract. You will work with subordinates to provide cost estimates, levels of effort in labor, input for developing performance work statements, researching and gathering data, and answering related data calls

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintaining, retailing, purchasing, and procuring of automotive, bus, and/or other transportation equipment, services, and facilities; planning, directing, and executing a Base Support Vehicle Equipment (BSVE) branch; AND serving as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for a Base Operating Support Contract.
