About the Position: This is a Program Manager, GS-0340-13 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Planning, Programs & Project Management Division.

Duties

Analyzes and evaluates the document correctness and comprehensiveness, and provides guidance or instruction to improve or enhance the documents with a focus on cost, scheduling, budget, quality, scope and customer relations. Recommends corrective action to ensure quality project performance. Evaluates the progress of assigned program and projects within the program and develops measurable indicators for use in evaluating District project management effectiveness. Assures that funding remains secure and work is performed in accordance with established policies. Prepares a variety of finalized technical correspondence and reports and makes telephonic, contacts as required.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position requires a financial disclosure OGE-450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
