You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the Technical Support (Code 130S), of the Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will reassess priorities and when necessary, expedite to meet schedules using any appropriate resources.
You will coordinate maintenance services agreements with various commands
You will monitor and authorize project expenditures to conform to funding restrictions; incorporates new course of action to accomplish project due dates and perform budget re-allocation.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the nature of uses of material and equipment, theories, principles, and practices and techniques of the trade.
Experience possessing knowledge of shipyard procedures and requirements relating to ship work and other customer projects.
Experience utilizing technical manuals, NAVCOMPT Manual, NAVSEA Directives, USFFC Directives, Type Commander directives, and NNSY instructions.
Experience independently analyzing and planning work, resolving problems and totally controlling the project for their area of responsibility.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of U.S Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) maintenance practices and procedures relating to various processes, facilities, utilities, material, and systems required to accomplish work.
Experience managing special high priority projects from the planning and budget phase through completion.
Experience collecting data, organizing plans, and analyzing results leading to meaningful project attainment and recommendations.
Experience informing the supervisor of any major problems and submit their work periodically for policy conformance.
