Serves as the principle technical advisor and consultant to the Deputy District Engineer, the Chief of the Programs and Project Management Branch, and other division and branch chiefs on all programming and budgeting aspects of civil works planning, design, construction and operation and maintenance, as well as the Interagency and International Services (IIS) program.

Duties

Provide professional advice and guidance to District elements and office staff on the overall development of current and long-range Civil Works programs. Develop future investment priorities. Evaluate study and project cost estimates. Validate study and project schedules. Establish funding schedules. Review and evaluate the engineering and construction soundness and practicality of modifying work schedules. Estimate progress on continuing studies and projects and the viability of potential new starts. Establish relative priorities. Evaluate study, project, and overall program funding capabilities. Assists Branch Chief in formulating near-term and long-range plans, schedules, and budgets for the management and direction of all activities of the Branch. Provide technical support on a wide variety of civil works and IIS projects.
