Duties
Provides technical support to the field office where assigned (Canyon Ferry or Yellowtail) with procurement, property accountability, inventory management, property utilization/disposal, waste disposal, and fleet management.
Utilizes Capital Asset Resource Management Application software (CARMA) to perform recordkeeping, track purchase requests, maintain inventory, and arrange transportation of materials and supplies to the powerplant.
Assists the Montana Area Office (MTAO) Supply Specialist with disposing of excess personal and real property for the facility where assigned.
Arranges for the storage, disposal, and transportation of hazardous waste materials generated by the facility.
Operates a motor vehicle to deliver and pick up supplies/materials and for inspection and operation of general-purpose fleet.
Compiles necessary information for monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual/annual reports. Analyzes data regarding vehicle and heavy equipment utilization/operation, breakdown and repair, and maintenance.
Qualifications

GS-07:
Specialized Experience: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent in responsibility and scope to the GS-06 level or its non-Federal equivalent that includes experience purchasing supplies, property management, or fleet/vehicle management; working in an automated database to track inventory, maintenance, or supplies; and compiling information to prepare reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 07/01/2024.
