This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL Mission Support to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The position is located with US ARMY COMBAT CAPABILITIESDEV CMD SOLDIER CENTERSOLDIER SUSTAINMENTDIRECTORATE DEPUTY TOASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (SSD)DEPUTY OF BUSINESSOPERATIONS (SSD) NATICK, MA. This is a flexible/renewable term appointment that can be indefinitely extended in up to 6-year increments.

Duties

Serve as analysts and advisors to management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of government programs and operations. Provide operational services to leaders. Perform journey level functions in the business or administrative fields (e.g., task coordination, tasker management, acquisition management, operational procedures, marketing, finance, resource management, logistics, planning, or STEM). Applying basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate to long range planning of programs and objectives. Apply evaluative methods to assess programs development or execution to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirements: Education: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree And OR General Experience: 3 years, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4. I have one year of general experience equivalent to the GS-04/DE-01 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Performing journey level functions in the business or administrative fields such as finance, resource management, logistics, planning, or STEM. 2) Applying basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques to long rang planning of programs and objectives. 3) Presenting findings and results, in writing or orally for higher-level review or publication. **NOTE: TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED even if you are a current federal employee.***Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
