This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Performance Planning and CFO with the Administrative Accounting Division. This Accounting Technician examines, verifies, maintains, and prepares a variety of accounting transaction data relating to administrative accounting for input; and assists with maintenance of accounting systems.
Duties
Processes transactions for the administrative accounting division by examining and verifying the accuracy of the authorizing documents.
Computes amounts as needed, schedules payments, maintains accounts, and updates various systems such as Government On-line Accounting Link System (GOALS}, Oracle system information, other entries and IPAC.
Provides customer service for Oracle and IPAC.
Salary by location: This announcement reflects the GS base salary. The actual salary will be based on the selectee's location, grade, and step.
Salary Range-Denver, CO: $54,505 - $70,859
Salary Range-Herndon, VA: $55,924 - $72,703
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-07: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: examining, verifying, maintaining and preparing for input a variety of accounting transaction data related to payment processing.
