This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region I in Boston, MA. The LRS collaborates with public/private sector agencies to ensure that identified underserved communities have knowledge and access to SBA and other federal, state, and community programs/resources that support entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Duties
The Lender Relations Specialist will actively engage in the following duties:
Market all SBA lending programs and service through outreach and marketing.
Conduct outreach, training, education, development, lender recruitment, consultation and working with assigned lenders in the District.
Conduct face-to-face visits with individual lending institution for the purpose of delivering SBA loan programs and services in the District.
Conduct or participate in training sessions designed to ensure SBA programs and services are optimized in the various financial organizations served by the District.
Provide assistance through consultative and customer interactions with lenders.
Salary Ranges:
GS-09: $67,743 to $88,065
GS-11: $81,963 to $106,549.
Requirements

- Valid driver's license required.
Qualifications
GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector assisting with all of the following:
1. Loan proposal development, packaging, and structuring; AND
2. Marketing lending programs and services; AND
3. Conducting training or professional development; AND
4. Growing and developing a customer base; AND
5. Using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job.
These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.
GS-11: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following duties with minimal supervision:
1. Assisting in commercial or business loan proposal development, packaging, and structuring for a variety of business acquisition, start-up and expansion purposes; AND
2. Assisting with marketing lending programs and services to external customers through outreach activities; AND
3. Assisting with conducting formal training or professional development; AND
4. Assisting with the growth and development of a customer base; AND
5. Using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job.

GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. Combination of Experience and Education:
GS-09: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1 full year of Masters level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level as described above (i.e., 50% of the required experience) would equate to 100% of the required experience for the position. Transcripts (official or unofficial must be submitted in support of this response). If selected, official transcripts will be required.
GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M in an accredited college or university related to the position to be filled (i.e. business, finance, accounting). One year of full-time graduate-level education is 18 semester hours or the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study.

Combination of Experience and Education:
GS-11: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1.5 full years of Ph.D. level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.
