Duties

Outreach to the community (this includes being able to talk with leadership about the future of the library program at Fort Bliss). Programming for all ages in the community (this is to meet the community needs and wants- within reason, including literacy programs and STEAM programs). Collection development and management (this is assessing the collection and the needs of the community). Ability to follow CREW standards, purchasing items for the collection, processing the items into the collection, and weeding/removing items that are outdated and/or no longer needed for the collection.

Requirements

• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

Qualifications

Experience and Education meeting qualification requirements MUST be reflected in resume and transcripts MUST be uploaded with application to be considered eligible. A master's degree in library science, information services, or information management from an accredited college or university. Additionally, one (1) year of progressively responsible work experience equivalent to the next lower grade level is required which showcases the ability to perform in library management, personnel management, public/patron services, technical services, and library automation service functions. Must have a working knowledge of office software products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Education
