THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MIL), Position Description Number D1105000 and is part of the MILITARY PERSONNEL OFFICE, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
THIS IS AN INDEFINITE POSITION FOR TWO POSITIONS.
Duties
As a HR SPEC (MIL), GS-0201-09, provide technical expertise and guidance for all military personnel assigned in the state, and oversee the functions of one of the following human resource programs: Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), Standard Installation and Division Personnel System (SIDPERS), or the Personnel Services Section.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Qualifications
Military Grades: Enlisted
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: For positions for which individual occupational requirements do not specify otherwise, general experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:
Provides information and ensures regulatory compliance regarding area of responsibility which may include, but is not limited to: accessions, appointments, assignments, reassignments, transfers, promotions, discharges, separations, retirements, Officer Evaluation Reports (OER) Non-Commissioned Officer Evaluation Reports (NCOER), awarding of Military Occupational Skill (MOS) identifiers (primary or secondary), Stop Loss programs, and National Guard Bureau (NGB) waivers
Convenes or participates in various boards which may include: promotion, awards, selective retention, MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB), Incapacitation Review Boards, etc.
Initiates action for the issuance of all military orders relating to military personnel actions and distributes accordingly
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience in providing technical expertise and guidance regarding military human resource matters for officer and enlisted members of the ARNG for which the incumbent of the position has program responsibility. Experience managing, supervising, administering, advising on, or delivering human resources management products or services.
