Duties
Monitors operations and personnel performance of to ensure smooth running of facility procedures as well as special events. Acts as facility manager in the absence of the Business Manager.
May perform opening/dosing procedures for the facility.
Prepares cost cards quarterly.
Will be required to monitor inventory in accordance with facility policies and prepare and place required food, beverage, and supply orders.
Will be a government purchase card holder. Training will be provided.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2; may include a medical examination.
- Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Culinary work experience and education that demonstrated the obtainment of skills necessary to function as a sous chef in a professional kitchen.
-Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, be able to work long and demanding hours.
-Must be a strong leader and team player, and have the ability to take instructions from the executive chef and carry out those instructions to the lowest levels of staffing.
-Must be able to mediate staff conflicts especially when stress mounts and tempers rise.
Best Qualifications:
-At least one (1) year experience/knowledge with executing catering services.
-At least one (1) year experience in working in a full-service kitchen operation to include ordering, prep lists, and menu development.
-At least one (1) year experience in supervising staff members within the culinary field.
