You will serve as a Security Assistant (Office Automation) in the Provost Marshal Office/ Marine Corps Police Department (PMO/MCPD) of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT. Duties

You will perform customer service, records management, office automation work, and a wide variety of clerical tasks to ensure efficient office operations. You will perform civilian court liaison duties for the PMO/MCPD. You will prepare, track, maintain, and file all relevant correspondence, records, and documents required by policy governing the civil court reporting and liaison requirement. You will ensure proper records storage safeguards are in place and records are archived/destroyed and disseminated. You will enter data provided into a database and print reports. You will receive and answer telephone inquiries. You will ensure essential operating supplies are maintained.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You must possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license. You must be able to operate service-issued equipment vehicle.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You may be required to obtain specific qualifications and licenses to operate different types and sizes of vehicles when performing Motor Transportation Dispatch duties.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties:1) Performing clerical and administrative duties to ensure efficient office operations;2) Entering, tracking, and retrieving data in an automated database system to maintain records;3) Controlling, issuing, retrieving and maintaining accountability of supplies and equipment; and4) Communicating and liaising with customers to provide to quality services, obtain information, and answer inquiries. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
