You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Components Program, Code KN322200, and shop 93000 of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. You will be responsible for managing and directing current/new workload within Fleet Readiness Center, Southwest and executing program requirements for the assigned program, commodity or customer. The duty location for this position is Naval Air Station, San Diego, CA. If hired your salary will be: GS-11: $82,633 - $107,421 GS-12- $99,044 - $128,752

Duties

You will receive, research, and respond to customer requests for products and services. You will represent the command at major command or field activity levels. You will plan and coordinate component repair statuses, cost forecasts and budget estimates for short and long-term requirements, schedule changes, repair turnaround and provide daily WebRoR component status updates. You will assist the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager in attaining the acquisition of new workload through contractual agreements such as Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) with other field activities. You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of FRCSW Industrial Processes and Procedures, operating concepts, principles and practices pertaining to Logistics Management processes and guidelines. You will correlate data to identify short- and long-term items which requires depot capability establishment. You will plan, manage, and coordinate Logistics Support for existing, new and/or modified components and/or subsystems of Major weapon systems or subsystems at the depot.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-0346-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Analyzing, planning, impacting, executing, and forecasting long term funding and budget requirements; 2) Resolving logistics support problems involving component repair, material and other supportability issues; 3) Assessing, organizing, and utilizing component capabilities including engineering, logistics for components and weapon systems; 4) Managing and directing current/new workload and executing program requirements for the assigned program, commodity, or customer; and 5) Ensuring an efficient workload schedule and maximum utilization of available manpower, equipment, facilities, and trade skills. GS-0346-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing and forecasting long term funding and budget requirements; 2) Resolving logistics support problems involving component repair, material and other supportability issues; 3) Assessing and utilizing component capabilities including engineering, logistics for components and weapon systems; 4) Managing current/new workloads and executing program requirements for the assigned program, commodity, or customer; and 5) Ensuring an efficient workload schedule and utilization of available manpower, equipment, facilities, and trade skills. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
