This position is located in the Windy Harbor Golf Course, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Mayport, Florida.

Duties

Incumbent is responsible for the staging and care of golf carts for daily play, and the securing of rental equipment and buildings at the end of the day. Picks up range balls using a ball picker then cleans and maintains range ball supply. Has an awareness of keeping golf carts staged for play and set-up for weekly and special shotgun start events. Routinely performs maintenance of checking tire pressure and filling golf cart batteries, cleaning of windshields and basic cleaning of golf carts. General maintenance of buildings, which may include cleaning restrooms in main building and on course restrooms, picking up trash around/inside cart barn area. Places water at water stations on the golf course twice daily. May assist other department facilities during special events or when required. And other duties that are assigned. Advises supervisor when carts/equipment are returned damaged.

Requirements

• Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
• Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
• A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
