This position is in the Office of Civil Rights (TCR), within the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). You will serve as Director for the Office of Recipient Civil Rights Management managing and executing national programs and high-priority projects. You will directly support TCR’s Executive Management team to address the full range of delegated supervisory, administrative, and operational responsibilities for personnel, program, project, budget, contracts, and administrative activities.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include: Experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary team. Experience managing programs and leading others in developing and applying program management principles and practices. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Creative Thinking - Uses imagination to develop new insights into situations and applies innovative solutions to problems; designs new methods where established methods and procedures are inapplicable or are unavailable. Influencing/Negotiating - Persuades others to accept recommendations, cooperate, or change their behavior; works with others towards an agreement; negotiates to find mutually acceptable solutions. Leadership - Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Strategic Thinking - Formulates effective strategies consistent with the business and competitive strategy of the organization in a global economy. Examines policy issues and strategic planning with a long-term perspective. Determines objectives and sets priorities; anticipates potential threats or opportunities.
