You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE at GULFPORT, MS.
Duties
You will perform causative research, pre-adjustment research, inventory sampling, scheduling, and analysis to include counts, surveys, denials, in-transit research, item data, and stock record maintenance to ensure material accountability.
You will plan and conduct studies and surveys, analyzes findings, and makes recommendations regarding inventory accountability issues and other logistics-related operations and functions.
You will analyze completed inventory actions, such as causative research, pre-adjustment research, inventory sampling, location surveys, in-transit research or response, item data stock record maintenance, and denial processing or research.
You will track problems through to resolutions, develop and maintain associated spreadsheets or databases and performs statistical analyses.
You will monitor trends, projections, and comparisons with similar situations at other NAVSUP organizations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Knowledge and skill in using automated supply databases for supply management determinations, distribution facilities and storage management determinations; 2) Basic accounting knowledge of common practices to interpret and evaluate the operating budget and customer funding; 3) Possess knowledge of procurement and contract operations to evaluate data, reports, manuals, and directives to make recommendations for revision, standardization, or consolidation; 4) Ability to perform analyze specific issues associated with supply management or operations, work methods and/or data integrity, or to study and recommend solutions for a segment; 5) Prepare entries for supply record systems; provide supply information, reports, and services; and recommend actions to eliminate problems involved in delivering services to supply customers or implementing policies.
