About the Position: Serves as Team Leader for the Context-Aware Single and Multi-Agent Team, Autonomous Systems Branch within the Science of Intelligent Systems Division, Computational & Information Sciences Directorate (CISD).

Duties
Work with the team of multidisciplinary scientists and engineers to develop, apply, and
experiment innovative theories and solutions for implementing and integrating algorithms, devices, and systems in the real world.
Advise, counsel, and instruct team members on technical work matters and provide input on the technical quality of work of team members.
Assist supervisor in workload planning and provide input on personnel management decisions (e.g., awards).
Analyze research priorities and goals within environmental/contextual constraints for planning and recommendations to leadership.
Coordinate collaborations between academic, industrial, and other DoD/Army agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Three-year trial period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel for this position 10% or less.
- A one year trial period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualified candidates must meet the Basic Requirement for the Psychologist (0180) or Computer Scientist (1550). In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement, applicants must also have one year of specialized experience at the DB-03 (GS-13 equivalent) level. There is no substitution of education for experience at this level.
Basic Qualifications for DB-0180 Psychologist:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or in an equivalent major
To qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
One year of specialized experience which includes(1) experimenting with or systematically observing organisms to develop scientific principles or laws concerning the relationship of behavior to factors of environment, experience or physiology, or to develop practical applications of findings, (2) applying professional knowledge of psychological principles, theories, methods or data to practical situations and problems, and (3) providing consultative services or training in psychological principles, theories, methods, and techniques to advance knowledge of them and their appropriate use.
