This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in Work Planning & Evaluation (TFAW), Field Strategy & Operational Excellence (TFA), Transmission Field Services (TF), Transmission Services (T). A successful candidate in this position will be responsible for providing centralized, coordinated, system-wide work planning, scheduling & evaluation services to ensure maintenance programs & construction services are conducted in a manner that is cost effective & efficient.

  • This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 3 days per pay period.
  • Selectee will be required to complete the Office of Government Ethics Standard of Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OFGE450e) within 30 days of employment and annually.
  • A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
  • Hiring incentives may be authorized for a highly qualified candidate based on budget availability and in accordance with federal regulations.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-12] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as Experience in 1) performing business management work (e.g., budgeting, contracting, identification of manpower requirements) to conduct work planning and scheduling activities, and 2) developing solutions for work planning and scheduling issues and problems in order to deliver resource and work planning products efficiently. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands: Work for the most part is sedentary with no special physical demands. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. Work Environment: The employee normally works in an office that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require the normal safety precautions. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Visits to production areas are infrequent and relatively free of hazards to the employee. Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
