About the Position: About the position: Position is responsible for coordinating, planning, and organizing the operations of the Military Pay Division, providing technical guidance and assures the timelines, accuracy, and overall quality of services provided. Position is in Human Resources Command (HRC), The Adjutant General Directorate (TAG), Military Pay Division, at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Development, coordination and evaluation of programs, policies, and procedures to support transition planning of Military Pay.
Review MILPAY productivity reports from various systems; analyzing MILPAY transactions for accuracy and errors.
Control and monitors suspense files, correspondence files, records distribution, and reporting requirements.
Develop actionable products that are aligned with organizational priorities, goals, and controls for Military Pay operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires one-year probationary period unless the requirement already has previously been met.
- Position may require occasional temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time.
- Position requires and must obtain a Financial Management Certification level 2.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Special Experience: One year specialized experience which includes a wide body of standard military pay rules, regulations, laws, procedures, and operations in order to resolve recurring problems in operations involving pay actions affecting the military components; determine, process, or explain the variety of military pay entitlements for Active Duty, Reserve Component and National Guard Soldiers including pay for inactive duty training, active duty training, annual training, special pays and allowances such as incentive pay, retention pay and other entitlements, allowances or debt collection actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).
