About the Position: Position is located in the office of the Deputy Commander of NAVAL HEALTH CLINIC CHARLESTON, Charleston South Carolina. The incumbent provides clerical and administrative assistance to the Deputy Commander responsible for directing and managing patient care services within a major medical treatment facility (MTF).

Duties

Receives telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits. Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives. Communicate with department staff to manage the department conference room schedules. Understand Medical Terminology used in official correspondence and meetings.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A qualified typist is required.
