About the Position:This position is located at the US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICE/G6 SUPPORT DIVISION at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Manages and operates parcel inspection systems. Serves as primary and/or alternate operator. Processes and scans all incoming packages, boxes, and other materials prior to being delivered to the USAJFKSWCS and USASOC Headquarters buildings. Reports suspicious contents to appropriate officials. Obtains annual professional instruction in Mailroom X-ray Image Interpretation and Analysis, Including Explosive Device Recognition, Safety and Incident Management.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a Secret Security clearance.
  • The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle, such as panel vans, sedans or pickup trucks to transport official mail, distribution, packages and boxes. A valid operator's license is required.
  • Employee is required to complete a pre-employment and periodic physical.

Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support for mail operations. Distribution, delivery, and pickup of mail items in accordance with the United States Postal Service regulations. Storing and distributing internal documents. Along with operating standard mail room and computer equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingIntegrity/HonestyInterpersonal SkillsVehicle Operation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
