About the Position:
The incumbent provides the planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and evaluating of integrated Information Management (IM), Information Technology (IT), and Command and Control, Communications and Computers (C4) services and support to the FORSCOM unit. The position is assigned to the G-6, 1st Division, Fort Riley, KS.
Duties
Coordinate with FORSCOM units with operational Command and Control, Communications and Computers (C4) and Information Management (IM) requirements.
Responsible for the policy, oversight and guidance of the MSE IM and C4 programs.
Monitor, review and analyze the programs; makes decisions and recommendations for adjustments to meet local requirements and changing conditions, as well as to accommodate direction from higher authority.
Ensure implementation and capability of local information programs to broad policies and program guidance from higher authority.
Execute and manages IT and C4 programs including planning, developing, budgeting, and utilizing existing and planned information systems, C4 support and facilities.
Participate in meetings, conferences, planning, and studies to identify and resolve major C4/IT interoperability issues and requirements.
Serve as the G6 for the Mission Support Element (MSE), a non-deployable TDA organization.
Direct and coordinate the work carried out by administrative and/or technical personnel.
Oversee the work assigned to subordinates, setting priorities, and evaluating work performance.
Requirements
- A one-year supervisory probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You may be required to work overtime.
- You may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include weekends, holidays, evenings and/or holidays.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and then continue to maintain Security+ CE certification.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA-Form 5019-R, and/or DA-Form 7412 "CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT”.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience:
