This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-2 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-5 through GS-11; the NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Weapons Department, Weapons Management Division (Code S32) of the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic, Kings Bay, GA.
Duties
You will conduct the initial planning, provisioning, and maintain total accountability for tracking of ordnance in the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic's (SWFLANT) custody.
You will conduct the receipt, issue, inventory, recordkeeping and reporting of ammunition asset movement at both the local and worldwide level via the Ordnance Inventory System - Retail (OIS-R) computer system.
You will manage and coordinate the weapons inventory system.
You will package and certify explosive shipments for transport worldwide via truck, ship, or plane per the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
You will create and process requisitions, and create and transmit Ammunition Transaction Reports (ATRs).
You will process incoming requisition status messages, create and update due-in records, process receipts, and issue ammunition and explosives.
You will process activity issue and receipt transactions and electronically update OIS-R technical database.
You will perform system preventive maintenance and daily backup of OIS-R computer database.
You will schedule and perform monthly physical inventories and storage inspections of assets located in magazines and ordnance production buildings, record and verify inventory records against asset records, and resolve any discrepancies.
You will monitor shelf life and maintenance due dates to ensure proper condition of assets.
You will process material reservations for issue, generate DD 1348s, and processes re-stow and asset maintenance of inventory assets.
You will perform periodic audits with Quality Assurance (QA) personnel to confirm required reports and documentation per ammunition administration requirements.
You will administer training related to Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives accountability, ensuring proper labeling and storage compatibility requirements.
You will train personnel in the proper use of scanners and bar-coding equipment, and schedule corrective maintenance on computers, printers, bar coding, and scanner equipment as applicable.
You will assign passwords and the access levels for all OIS-R computer users.
You will attend, plan, and schedule meetings with local commands to resolve transaction discrepancies.
You will participate in formulation of procedures which establishes ordnance supply and logistic policies.
You will participate in meetings to provide expertise concerning levels of ordnance support and related inventory requirements.
You will assist the Nuclear Weapons Related Material (NWRM) program manager with facility NWRM management, maintaining oversight, material accountability and implementation of program security controls.
You will provide oversight and guidance to Contractor Arms, Ammunition and Explosives screening officials.

- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- You will be required to qualify for inclusion into the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
TO QUALIFY FOR NH-3: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 broadband level (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying logistics management principles to perform program analysis on Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) programs.
TO QUALIFY FOR NH-2: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one year of which was at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the ability to (1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; (2) plan and organize work; and (3) communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Education
TO QUALIFY FOR NH-2: In lieu of general experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
