The supervisor is Michael Dean.
This position is in the Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.

Duties
As an IT Specialist, you will administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT), telecommunications, and audio-visual systems and services. You will oversee the planning, design and implementation of new and enhanced information systems; oversee the design, modification, testing, installation, and implementation of new or existing applications software; plan, install, configure, test, and maintain the systems environment; oversee the configuration, installation, implementation, and maintenance of the systems; and, ensure the integrity and availability of systems, networks, and data through information systems security policies and procedures. You will serve as a Communications Security (COMSEC) custodian or alternate custodian, responsible for the receipt, transfer, accounting, crypto-security, physical security, safeguarding and destruction of assigned COMSEC information, equipment and material, as needed. Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, in addition to the basic education requirements, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience that demonstrates extensive knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices in the information technology field. Candidates must have a minimum of three years progressively responsible professional experience. This experience must include at least one year of specialized experience applying information technology principles, concepts and methods related to application development, web development, computer software/hardware, and networking configurations.

Education
BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
