The primary purpose of this position is: To exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate \V0rkers in accomplishing trades and labor work of the 58 MXS/MXMMI.

- The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
- Will be required to obtain an appropriate security clearance.
- This is a Testing Designated Position (Drug Testing) and is subject to random drug testing procedures.
- Required to assist immediate supervisor in training less skilled apprentices/mechanics and document training records as required. Maybe assigned as a primal)' trainer
- May handle hazardous materials and waste as defined and regulated under federal, state, base, and local instructions or regulations.
- Safety and protective equipment will be provided as appropriate to specific hazard and will be used at all times when working with hazardous waste and materials.
- Must successfully participate in initial training and annual review of training
- Will he required to work overtime, rotating shifts, uncommon tours of duty, weekends. perform temporary duty (TDY) and fly on military and/or commercial aircraft etc.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-8800, Aircraft Overhaul Group, Aircraft Mechanic, 8852 series. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
The screen out element for this position is ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment. and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised.

5. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
