About the Position: Serve as Chief of the Engineering and Construction Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH.
Duties
As Engineering and Construction advisor, collaborates with the Director on unusual and novel problems relating to broad technical policy.
Contribute senior leadership and participates in regional business processes such as strategic planning, workload sharing, and quality management for engineering and construction.
Chair and leads the Division's Regional Engineering and Construction Functional Board.
Serve as the top division staff expert in all matters and functions related to Engineering and Construction.
Exercise Division responsibility for the Engineering, Design, and Construction aspects of the Civil Works and Military Programs being executed within the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division.
Manage the Periodic Inspection, Dam Safety, Bridge Inspection and the Design Construction Evaluation Programs for the Division.
Manage Administration of Division Program for Quality Assurance of Engineering Products, Services, and Construction.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing guidance and recommendations on Engineering and Construction organization, structure, manpower, budget, and training needs; evaluating Military and Civil Works Programs including reviewing and recommending approval of Architect-Engineering program details; and planning and coordinating professional engineering work by setting priorities and preparing work schedules.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
