This position is located on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Draper, Utah.
This position provides detailed administrative assistance and support for supplies and equipment at a National Interagency Support Cache (NISC).

Duties
Duties listed are at the Full Performance Level.
Purchase a wide range of supplies and services using a variety of recognized service agreements or contracts.
Evaluate supply management codes, data information, delivery and distribution information to ensure purchases are expedited and all transactions, orders, and requisitions are accurate and complete.
Perform a wide variety of record keeping in support of the organization’s programs.
Maintain electronic systems used to track a variety of supply inventory.
Instruct others on technical procedures to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met.
Provide technical assistance on the regulatory requirements for processing a wide variety of supply transactions.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-05: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience includes meeting one or more of the following: Conducted technical supply management, database utilization and document processing for the movement of considerable amounts of property and supplies. Conducted data entry and processing for a variety of program areas. Assisted with investigating and correcting automated supply transaction input and output discrepancies. Assisted with using software applications to locate and evaluate information to be used in preparing reports. Assisted with receiving and processing receipts, shipments, reports, and inventory management documents following the established policies and procedures.
For the GS-06: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience includes meeting one or more of the following: Conducted supply inventory inspections. Determined office supply, equipment, and real property value. Conducted cost estimates for purchasing, renting, and shipping supplies and equipment.
For the GS-07: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience includes meeting one or more of the following: Maintained electronic property, equipment, and office supply records through the use of inventory databases. Processed property documents for acquisitions and/or disposal of supplies, equipment and property. Processed incoming and outgoing package shipments and produced written reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
