This is a public notice flyer used to fill anticipated vacancies at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) in the Engineering and Planning Department, Non-Nuclear Material and Work Packaging Division, Ship Alteration Branch, Code 244.24. Duties

You will serve as Ship Alteration Production Shop Planner. You will support project team and production shop work through research, ordering, and tracking material requirements. You will conduct reviews, validations and assessments of alteration Availability Work-Package Requirements. You will review applicable maintenance schedules to aid in submission of Ship Alt kit request. You will coordinate the movement and inventory of material, ensuring that all alteration kits are properly inventoried, and that all line items are accounted for.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
