About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Analyze circuits from schematics, flow charts, source listing charts, optical and wiring diagrams
Remove components, chassis and assemblies from test equipment.
Perform checkout procedures after repairs have been made to ensure the test console and/or fixture is functioning properly.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require a one-year probationary period.
- This position requires a physical upon entering the position and annually.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an EIS Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Leader duties where I perform checkout procedures after repairs have been made to ensure the test set is functioning properly. I assure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed. I check work in progress and when finished, check for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.

Physical Efforts: Work assignments require light to moderate physical effort. Frequently handles items weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally is required to lift items in excess of 45 pounds. Works in a sitting position for extended periods of time, and frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and stooping is required.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside of shops that are adequately heated, lighted, and ventilated or at site where the weather elements are a factor. Is subject to injuries such as cuts, bruises and burns caused by electrical shock, RF energy and soldering irons.
