Duties
You will modify work sequences to resolve electronically controlled industrial equipment installation and repair problems.
You will repair electronic equipment (e.g., subassemblies, printed circuit cards, chassis) to maintain operational functionality.
You will use electronic operating principles to install, test, and repair integrated circuits, equipment, and controls.
You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and inspect problems areas for defective components on electronic industrial equipment.
You will use test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters) to make repairs or adjustments to electronically controlled industrial equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Troubleshoot and make repairs to multiple manufacturer Fire Protection systems and communication devices; 2) Plan layout and routing and arrangement of fire protection systems, circuits, controls, and equipment; 3) Perform diagnostic testing using a variety of equipment; 4) Interpret complex drawings, specifications, and schematics of systems to recognize the function and interconnections of the various assemblies.
