About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center Office, Director of Executive, Tacoma, Washington.
Duties
Receive incoming correspondence, screening material for suspense dates, establishing controls and following up for the Deputy Commander.
Compose military letters of appreciation, commendation, and recommendation; and various nonmilitary, correspondence.
Act as liaison between supervisor and subordinate staff or other offices.
Provide administrative and clerical support to Residents in the Masters of Health Care Administration Program.
Receive and screen visitors and phone calls to the office.
Operate a personal computer to input, store, retrieve and manipulate data.
Provide computer graphic support and technical expertise to the C/S, Commanding General and Command Group Staff.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires a typing skill of at least 40 words per minute.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position requires immunization screening to determine inoculation for Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap), Hepatitis B series, Chickenpox titer and skin test screening for Tuberculosis (TB).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing routine administrative tasks such as utilize computer to prepare correspondence, reports or other documents, receive calls or visitors, and make travel arrangements or schedule appointments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business or Healthcare Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
