As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Group Manager to lead a highly technical, organization responsible for development and publication of instrument flight procedures and aeronautical charts.

Duties

Advises higher management levels on matters pertaining to assigned programs. Directs, coordinates, and implements policy, procedures, and technical approaches for assigned programs, which may involve one or more of the following program areas. Development of instrument flight procedures (IFPs); design, compilation and maintenance of aeronautical charts and related publications; coordination and integration of IFPs in the NAS; providing for safe operation of aircraft; ensuring that the construction and publication of all aeronautical charts/publications that support commercial, military and general aviation meet operational requirements; collecting and verifying aeronautical data, automation and governance of technical and business processes.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-K (FG/GS-15) level, applicants must have at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.Specialized experience may includes:Experience directing, coordinating and implementing policy, procedures, and technical approaches for assigned programs, involving one or more of the following program areas: development of instrument flight procedures (IFPs); design, compilation and maintenance of aeronautical charts and related publications; coordination and integration of IFPs in the NAS; ensuring that the construction and publication of all aeronautical charts/publications that support commercial, military and general aviation meet operational requirements; collecting and verifying aeronautical data, automation and governance of technical and business processes.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
