Duties

Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Answer workers questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders). Install a variety of commercial and domestic refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Install a variety of small and domestic heating units and systems which are located in administrative buildings, small shops, and multiple dwellings.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Government Drivers license within 90 days of employment.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
• Weather essential position: Incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
