This position is located within Claremore Indian Hospital (CIH) located in Claremore, Oklahoma. The purpose of this position is to provide therapeutic behavioural health services to patients of CIH, the position reports to the CIH Ambulatory Care Director.
Duties
Provides diagnostic, treatment, referral, crisis intervention, and consultation services
Participate in scheduled case conference
May conduct home visits when indicated for patient care
Maintain all appropriate client records
May provide continuing professional training to other mental health providers and clinic staff

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Degree: behavioral or social science; related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provide the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrate that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Selective Factor - Screenout: Ability to provide independent mental health services as evidence by possession of one of the following current, valid licensures: licensed psychologist, licensed clinical social worker (LSW-C)(LCSW), licensed marital and family therapist (LMFT), licensed professional counselor (LPS), Licensed behavioral practitioner (LBP) or licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). You must provide a copy of your current, valid licensure or your applicant will be considered incomplete.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Specialized Experience: Provide diagnostic, treatment, referral, crisis intervention and consultation services for psychiatric patients in accordance with standards established by incumbents professional mental health organization.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
