This position is located in the Washington, DC Commuting Area within the Bureau for Global Health, Office of Policy, Programs, and Planning (P3), at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). This position will serve as the Team Lead for P3's Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Team and Data Hub.
Duties
Serves as an agency expert providing intellectual leadership on data use, and monitoring and evaluation of Global Health programs.
Provides technical expertise and analytical direction data analytics and advances data science approaches to maximize/accelerate progress.
Oversees coordination of a broad range of monitoring and evaluation (M and E) activities, including leading coordination and development/application of policies, procedures, and tools to ensure the integrity, and availability of data.
Supervises Team staff and provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
Requirements

Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position include: (a) Experience in developing health program indicators for low and middle-income countries which help monitor program performance and inform decision-making (EX. experience in developing metrics to assist and analyze data and inform decision Making); (b) Experience in creating and leading multi-source data analysis within an international health context (integrated data analysis with global health data)
; AND c) Advise senior-level officials on the evaluation of health programs and/or digital health systems to guide and inform decision making.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
