Duties

Mows grass, lays sod, weeds flowerbeds, trims and edges walkways and lawns. Prunes shrubs and trees; applies fertilizer, water plants, cleans out drainage ditches, shovels snow from walks and driveways. Loads and unloads conveyances; moves materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies; stacks and arranges supplies for storage; collects refuse and recyclable materials. Digs, fills and tamps soil and gravel in earth excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake. Cleans rugs and drapes. Cleans, waxes and polishes floors using heavy industrial-powered equipment. Adjusts, cleans, oils and changes attachments on machines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks and physical screening in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must also be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.

Qualifications

Standard Qualifications:` Three (3) month of laboring experience required. Must have the ability use, control and clean tools and power equipment used, and ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervisor of each task assigned Highly Preferred: Six (6) months or more of experience working at a golf course. Candidates will be ranked against the Highly Qualified Criteria. Only the most highly qualified candidates will be initially referred. If Management does not select a highly qualified candidate, they may request an additional referral list. To be evaluated as a Highly Qualified, your resume MUST clearly reflect ALL knowledge and experience listed under the highly qualified criteria above.
