Duties

- Performs overhaul and repair work on heavy-duty mobile and automotive equipment powered by internal combustion engines (such as gasoline, propane, diesel, multi-fuel or electric motors or combination hybrid vehicle) to include small miscellaneous equipment. Overhauls, rebuilds, repairs, and maintains gasoline and diesel powered heavy mobile and automotive equipment such as bulldozers, tractors, road graders, cranes, draglines, forklifts, cars, trucks, and trailers. - Works with hand tools common to the trade and operates garage equipment such as gas and arc welders, alignment machines, wheel balancers, headlight equipment, brake drum machines, drill presses, hydraulic or electric hoists. - Makes repairs that can be accomplished by cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems such as fouled spark plugs, leaky wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, and worn brake shoes. - Uses diagnostic or measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes, dwell meters, volt ohm meters, vacuum gauges, battery starters/testers, fuel analyzers. - Prepares, updates, and maintains records, reports, and forms that are required by regulations and written directives.

You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 10/14/2024.
