You will serve as a Training Specialist in the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAVAVNWARDEVCEN).

Duties

You will be responsible for curriculum development and compliance with Joint Mission Task Lists (JMTL), compliance with the JTAC initial and recurring qualification processes. You will be responsible for development and publication of textbooks, maintenance of NSAWC Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) Division website, monitoring academic and field training systems, evaluation of training, and support JTAC tactical development. You will track, manage, and serve as a point of contact for supply requisitions and physical security matters You will provide subject matter expertise and instruction on communications equipment and data pathways. You will provide overall administration and coordination of the JTACC curriculum, courseware and instruction related to communications and data equipment. You will serve as a point of contact for physical security matters, tracking and management of supply requisitions, and management of COMSEC materials.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing analysis of instructional systems and programs; designing, developing, and implementing training curriculum and materials; and conducting training evaluations. Examples of Qualifying Experience: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and undergraduate/graduate level education to be creditable.
