As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is located in the ATO, Technical Operations, Facilities & Engineering Services, EOSH Services Group, Compliance Services Team, AJW-2310.

Duties

He/she manages the work of a large multi-level organization responsible for the establishment and implementation of the agency's EOSH polices and compliance requirements, which include energy, environmental cleanup; fire life safety; workplace inspections; fall protection; indoor air quality; electrical safety; asbestos; construction safety; confined space, and hearing conservation, etc.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • This Level 5 (Moderate Risk; Public Trust) position requires favorable adjudication of a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained.
  • Management may choose to interview some, all, or none of the referred applicants.
  • Unless previously completed, the incumbent must satisfactorily complete a 1-year probationary period to remain in this supervisory or managerial position.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience is defined as:Experience providing advice and guidance and directing or leading the EOSH related regulatory compliance programs.NOTE: In addition to meeting the basic qualification requirements, those applicants who demonstrate that they meet the Quality Ranking Factors (QRFs), will be referred to the selecting official as Well Qualified. The qualified applicants will be referred only if there are no well-qualified applicants.QUALITY RANKING FACTORS (QRFs):Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), and EOSH related industry standards, requirements and directives that determine the basis for compliance and services to include policy, acquisition, monitoring, and reporting.ANDKnowledge of Program Management principles and practices, including budget formulation and execution in both Facility & Equipment and Operations funds, program's spend plans, and contract management.**Applicants must describe their Experience in the space provided in the questionnaire . **You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
