About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Logistics Management Spec at the J4 Logistics & Engineering Directorate in Miami, FL.
Duties
Provide strategic logistic objectives to personnel throughout the organization.
Identify special logistical requirements for upcoming missions.
Conduct logistical analyses to prepare for future operations.
Coordinate procedures regarding the logistics of manpower and supplies needed to accomplish organizational goals.
Develop internal controls to ensure the logistics of missions are not compromised.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and/or maintain a secret clearance.
- Occasional travel is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Analyze logistical mission requirements to ensure the success of all organizational operations; 2). Identify logistical areas of concern to develop processes to increase efficiency throughout organizations; and 3). Analyze logistical capabilities to determine shortfalls and recommend alternatives to support organizational operations such as mission exercises and contingency developments.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
