Duties

Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored to maintain a safe work environment. Observe safety procedures/rules to ensure safety of work environment. Relocate stock based upon space convenience of handling to consolidate like items. Apply protective coatings to tools and equipment, as necessary. Check condition of tools as returned. Store tools and equipment in a safe, orderly manner. Keep accurate control logs of tools/equipment issued.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• You may be expected to travel (TDY) in this position up to 10% of the time for business purposes.
