The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) leads the nation's effort to protect the United States from terrorism by integrating, analyzing and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action and achieve our national CT objectives.
Duties
The Identities Management and Analysis Group (IMAGe) within NCTC's Directorate of Identity Intelligence (DII) is seeking a highly motivated officer to help lead the biometric and TIDE missions. Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Evaluate and develop first-line supervisors; serve as a substantive supervisory and analytic resource, teaching and guiding team chiefs; provide substantive feedback to include career development counseling and skills development.
Work with the Group Chief to shape and implement the vision of the group.
Provide expert guidance and leadership to multiple teams in the planning and performance of in-depth all-source research and analysis for specifically defined targets.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with counterparts in the CT, Intelligence, and Law Enforcement Communities to support NCTC mission requirements and analytic undertakings and to promote intelligence integration.
Work with the group chief to lead and direct teams in utilizing a variety of methodological tools and approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of known or suspected terrorists (KSTs).
Leverage your experience to serve as a corporate resource, contributing outside your group to the broader DI, NCTC, ODNI, and IC.
Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and highly qualified workforce.
Ensure personnel are appropriately challenged, rewarded, and given the support, tools, training, and opportunities they need to develop and succeed. Cultivate an inclusive environment that fosters the development of all officers to their full potential.
Manage and assess the status of assigned projects on a continuous basis, to include resource management and contractor support, and ensure that all resources are aligned with mission priorities and tasks are completed in an effective and timely manner.
Cultivate strong, constructive relationships across organizational lines, enhancing Center integration and collaboration with IC partners and enabling the Center's leadership in analyzing, integrating, and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent job-related experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be able to perform the functions of the position proficiently.
Desired Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of Intelligence, Defense, Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Biometric systems and knowledge of current and anticipated future biometric modalities.
Expert knowledge of terrorist identities, analysis, compilation, and dissemination, coupled with extensive knowledge of associated databases and identity targeting processes.
Expert ability to negotiate resources to support program and projects to include demonstrated ability to hire and retain subject matter expertise to support and grow the i2 mission.
