About the Position: This is a Equipment Specialist, GS-1670-11, within the Soldier Product Support Integration Directorate (PSID) of the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC). The Soldier PSID Teams have worldwide maintenance responsibility for assigned items falling into two or more broad equipment categories.
Duties
Provide complete, timely and accurate record processing throughout the life span of each action received that deals with the assigned system(s).
Review, revise, and make maintenance/provisioning recommendations that materially affect the readiness or capability of the system(s).
Ensure the correct coding data is established and entered into data record systems.
Maintains all Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) for the Soldier Product Support Integration Directorate (PSID) of the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).
Recommend the best course of action or changes to technical data designed for the safe and effective use and operation of the system(s).
Submit alternative methods to high-level officials for acceptance or changes to decisions made.
Coordinate with all relevant staff elements prior to adding or deleting changes within the database that are related to maintenance concepts, procedures, and provisioning changes.
Manage all maintenance data related to maintenance procedures, provisioning and logistics support analysis work that deal with the assigned systems.
Develop operating procedures to be required and used for the simplest methods/processes to be followed when maintaining and coding provisioning data.
Serve as the Maintenance technical data expert, point of contact spokesperson and advisor in the full realm of maintenance procedures, provisioning and logistics support analysis program requirements.
Maintain continuous surveillance over all technical data received from the Program Managers and other sources to ascertain problems contributing to slippage in programmed objectives and schedules from an organization perspective.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with entering, retrieving, and/or validating maintenance data in a maintenance/provisioning information system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: bushiness, electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
