You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Integrated Weapon System Teams in the Aviation Operations
Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will assist with the comprehensive support of items within product scope.
You will support management actions, procedures, and techniques necessary to determine requirements to acquire catalog, receive, store, transfer, issue and dispose of spares, repair parts, and all classes of supplies available.
You will participate in various programmatic reviews and audits for matters concerning technical data issues.
You will review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and suitability to the equipment and determine interchangeability and substitutability relationships; advises Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC’s) of technical problems; updates files accurately.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications
GS 7: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting management actions to determine requirements for all supplies available; 2) Knowledge of equipment standards, policies, regulations, and methods sufficient to plan and conduct reviews of maintenance problems involving assigned equipment; 3) Ability to perform research, summarize information, and provide reports regarding supply equipment; 4). Assisting management with analyzing project requirements and make recommendations for solutions.
GS 9: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of equipment standards, policies, regulations, and methods sufficient to plan and conduct reviews of maintenance problems involving assigned equipment. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting management actions, procedures, and techniques necessary to determine requirements to acquire catalog, receive, store, transfer, issue and dispose of spares, repair parts, and all classes of supplies available; 2) Participating in various programmatic reviews and audits for matters concerning technical data issues; 3) Developing technical support practices and procedures to meet supply support projects; 4) Performing technical research involving collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and developing specialized information on aviation equipment; 5) Participating in weapon system planning conferences to represent the technical team on the supply support for the overall function of the product within the organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-9:
Successful completion of a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Successful completion of two years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
OR
Successful completion of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of education and experience described above that equates to one year of experience.
GS-7:
Successful completion of one year of graduate level education.
OR
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
OR
A combination of education and experience described above that equates to one year of experience.
