About the Position: Serve as an Auditor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) Headquarters, Internal Review office.

Duties
Serve as an agent of the commander of assigned organization on accounting, financial, and managerial issues that require examination by a financial professional.
Perform quick response audits, audit readiness and sustainment, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up.
Perform a variety of audits that are usually without precedent and require the use of advanced auditing techniques in gathering and evaluating pertinent data.
Document survey results in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, DoD and DA policies.
Apply a comprehensive knowledge of analysis/reporting requirements, work processes, accounting systems structure and data produced to resolve significant accounting and management problems.
Perform complex analysis and evaluations related to all aspects of accounting, management control and risk management

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
- This position requires a Secret Security Clearance

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing analysis and evaluations related to all aspects of accounting, management control and risk management; applying a comprehensive knowledge of analysis/reporting requirements and work processes, accounting systems structure and data produced to resolve significant accounting and management problems; and serving as a representative regarding inspections, surveys and audit findings.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Education
