Duties
As a Public Health Analyst you will:
Serve as an analyst responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and advising on a well-defined and established program of a moderate size and complexity.
Provide substantive program consultation and develop, implement, and evaluate program operations and strategies.
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the assigned public health program(s) and develop and/or implement standards and recommendations.
Gather data and coordinate with others to develop program guidelines, goals, plans, and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, which must include the following experience: providing input on making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of public health operations.
OR
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination of experience and education: Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level, which must include the following experience: developing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating or analyzing data from public health programs.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
Combination of experience and education: Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Promotion potential: Promotion to the next grade level is at management's discretion and is based on your meeting qualifications and time-in-grade requirements, demonstrated ability to perform the higher-level duties, the continuing need for the higher-level duties, and administrative approval. Promotion to the next grade level is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.
