Duties
Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) have the opportunity to represent the United States of America in United States District Court and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In performing this important public service, AUSAs will exercise responsibility that is unparalleled in any other job a litigator might undertake. AUSAs immediately are assigned cases, some high profile, in one of the units within the Criminal Division of our Phoenix, Arizona office. AUSAs are responsible for prosecuting a variety of violations of federal laws, such as immigration offenses, drugs, firearms, violent crime, white collar frauds, and other federal crimes.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1* year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
United States citizenship is required.
